H1 Websites started in Portland, Oregon, in 2008 with Barak and Candi Tutterrow and a focus on web design. It didn’t stay that simple for long. As our clients needed more help managing their businesses online, we grew into a website management company built to handle much more than websites.
As our clients grew, so did their needs. They needed help with SEO, development, marketing, technical problems, and all the other pieces that come with doing business online. And they kept running into the same problem: finding people they could count on to actually get the job done.
So, we helped.
One solution led to another, and what started as a web design company naturally grew into full-service online business management. In 2026, we moved H1 to the Greensboro, North Carolina area, but our reach hasn’t changed. We continue to work with businesses across the country, including many clients we’ve supported for years.
